If there was ever a person who would be the torchbearer for the Black Lives Matter movement, you would think it would be Philonise George, the brother of George Floyd. George was killed by Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin was sentenced to prison for murder, showing the American justice system does work.
This week, Floyd’s brother said, “I just want to reiterate: not just black lives matter, all lives matter.”
“If I’m not over here messing up my community, then what are y’all doing? That’s not gonna bring my brother back at all … Let’s do it a different way,” he said.
