FREDERICK, MD – A 17-year old from Frederick County has been shot killed. The incident happened overnight at the Country Inn and Suites on Spectrum Drive.
According to police, the victim of this morning’s deadly shooting is a 17-year-old male from Frederick County.
“Out of respect for the family and until next of kin notifications have been made, the victim’s name will not be released. There is no update on the suspect at this time,” the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said.
At approximately 2 a.m., Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Country Inn and Suites located at the 5500 block of Spectrum Drive in Frederick for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies found one victim deceased on scene.
FCSO detectives are currently on scene conducting a thorough investigation and there will be a heavy police presence in the area for quite for some time. At this point, there are no suspects in custody.
