Man shot and killed while driving car in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – On Tuesday, at 1:02 am, Columbus Police responded to 3851 E. Livingston Ave. to a report of 2 people shot at Eagle Fuel. Officers arrived and were directed to a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of E. Livingston Ave. and Courtright Rd.

Inside the vehicle was a man suffering from a gunshot wound. This individual was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 3:29 am.

The identity of the deceased is not yet known. His name will be released once identification is made by the coroner. Ozian Gemal and Asenake Kinde were occupants of a second vehicle that crashed in the intersection of E. Livingston Ave and Beechwood Rd. after their car was struck by a bullet.

Gemal was transported to an area hospital in stable condition to be treated for injuries she received as a result of the crash. Kinde was not injured.
