NEW YORK, NY– An African American woman, 50-year-old Sharon Williams was arrested by police after she harassed and berated Asian employees in a Chinatown salon.
Williams continued her abusive remarks after she left the salon and encountered an Asian man on the street and continued her rant. Another Asian man intervened and she continued yelling at that man too.
She called the man a monkey and a “Chinese motherf–ker who brought COVID-19 to America”.
That man turned out to be a plainclothes New York Police officer and she was arrested and charged as the city cracks down on anti-Asian hate crimes.
