STUART, FL – A Martin County photographer has been arrested after his lover found a hidden camera under a towel recording their romantic adventures. He met his victim on the dating app Bumble and the two began a mutual sexual relationship in October.
Martin County Sheriff Detectives have arrested and charged 59-year old James Baes of Stuart. Baes was charged with video voyeurism after secretly recording sexual encounters with a person he met through a dating app.
After noticing the camera, she secretly took the video card, got dressed and left. Now she says, she worried about what Baes might have done with those images.
When detectives reviewed the video evidence, they found other recordings of potential victims that appear to be unaware that they were being videotaped during intimate encounters with Baes.
James Baes lists his profession as a fashion photographer, which may have also led him to meet potential victims. Detectives are asking anyone who may have come in contact with Baes and has concerns, to contact Detective Ingrid Faison at 772-220–7104.
