Staff worker at Lititz senior community home stole elderly woman’s engagement ring, wedding band

LITITZ, LA –  Entrusted to care for elderly patients at Luther Acres, a senior assisted living facility in Lititz, Louisiana, police here say Keoka Johnson was assisting herself.  According to the following police report, Keoka is accused of stealing a wedding band and engagement from an elderly patient.

On 11/13/2020, a representative from Luther Acres reported that a resident was missing their engagement ring and wedding band.  On the same date, a staff member came forward with information about Johnson being involved in the theft.  The staff member reporting seeing Johnson wearing the rings and reported taking a photograph of Johnson wearing the rings.  Johnson was employed as a nurse aid through an agency contracted to work at Luther Acres.   The estimated value of the rings is $1,500 dollars.  A summons will be issued for Johnson to appear in court.
