WASHINGTON, DC – Former New York Knick and head coach of the Georgetown University men’s basketball team Patrick Ewing has contracted the coronavirus. “I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.” Ewing said. The 57-year-old NBA star is currently under care in a local hospital and in isolation. Ewing said he decided to make his case public to let people know, anyone can get the coronavirus.
“I want to thank the healthcare workers on the front lines,” Ewing said. “I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”
