TOMS RIVER, NJ – A man who left Ocean Gate Beach in a small rowboat shortly before yesterday’s passing storm is missing, according to the United States Coast Guard. Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy told residents to expect air traffic in the area around the Toms River and Barnegat Bay today while the search for the missing boater resumes.
The Coast Guard is searching for a man last seen near Ocean Gate Beach, New Jersey, rowing a rowboat into Tom’s River. If you have any information on this individual please contact the Sector Delaware Bay Command Center at 215-271-4942.
