Shore News Network

In the past 24 hours, the New Jersey Department of Health has announced today that the number of positive coronavirus cases in Ocean County jumped from 16 to 33 in the past 24 hours.   This number being reported is well below the rumored increase of 40 people reported on social media by unconfirmed sources.  The numbers represented by the state and county officials are also not an exact number as some private healthcare provides now testing patients are not reporting figures to the government agencies in a timely manner, according to the Ocean County Health Department.
