Berkeley to Host Final “Sounds of Summer” Concert Tonight, Plans for Next Year

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP-Mayor Carmen Amato wants to invite the greater Ocean County Community to celebrate the waning days of summer in his town tonight with a free concert to be held at Veterans Park.

“We will open with announcements beginning at 6:00pm  followed shortly by The Infernos Band! They are America’s #1 Show Band and the area’s premier live performance group singing four decades of music,” Amato said.  “Since they are the only act tonight, they will do two sets.  I encourage everyone to come on out for a great evening of entertainment and don’t forget to bring a chair.”

Amato thanked those who made the 2019 series a success.

“As Mayor, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone, especially our employees for making the 2019 Sounds of Summer concert series one of the best years yet,” he said. “I also want to thank our loyal sponsors and businesses, who once again, provided the donations to pay for the entertainment. We had a great line up of local and regional talent this year that helped us get record crowds.”

The Mayor also said that the year saw great success for those organizations in town who use the events as fundraisers.

“In speaking with our non-profit groups and organizations, who use these concerts as fundraisers, all had a great year as well,” Amato said. “We have already begun planning the 2020 Sounds of Summer series. If you are interested in being a valued sponsor for next season, call Debbi Winogracki at 732-269-4457.”
