The OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River recently presented Deborah Hospital Foundation with a check for $12,500 in support of Patient Care and Programs at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Deborah is an 85-bed teaching hospital that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart, lung, and vascular diseases in adults, as well as providing outpatient cardiology services for children. Deborah offers leading-edge surgical techniques and non-surgical alternatives for treating these conditions. Recognized as a leader in patient care and innovative healing, Deborah has won numerous awards and is ranked number one in New Jersey for patient satisfaction.
In addition to providing innovative medical care, Deborah — for 96 years — has never given a bill to a patient, following its founding motto “there is no price on life.” OceanFirst Foundation’s donation supports this life-saving mission, and brings their total support to Deborah to more than $455,000 for patient care at the Hospital. The OceanFirst Foundation has awarded over 6,800 grants totaling more than $36 million to more than 900 charities in Central and Southern New Jersey.
