WASHINGTON, DC-President Donald Trump criticized the crazed and demented circus that has become the Senate confirmation hearing of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court.
This week, Kavanaugh’s hearing began, but out of the gates, Democrats sought to turn the time honored tradition into a shining example of the dysfunction that plagues Washington, D.C.
“As you all saw this week, the senate is now considering a truly exceptional nominee for the United States Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Trump said. “Do you believe the anger and meanness on the other side? It’s sick. It’s sick.”
Kavanaugh’s confirmation is all but certain.
“I think he’s going to be one of our truly great Supreme Court justices,” he added.
Kavanaugh’s hearing has been marred by circus theatrics, prompting the GOP to publish a television ad citing “The Left is Crazytown”. Dozens of protestors, suspected to be paid agitators by many, have been arrested and removed from the hearing for outbursts which could almost be mistaken for scenes cut from the television horror series, American Horror Story.
“When I see the anger in their eyes and hatred, what are they doing?” Trump added. “They’re losing by doing it.”

In one charade, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker grandstanded about the GOP not releasing once confidential documents to the committee. Booker claimed Republicans wouldn’t declassify the documents and said he was having “Sparticus Moment” by braving a violation of the law and releasing those documents to the public.

Bush administration attorney Bill Burck further called out Booker’s shenanigans.
“We were surprised to learn about Senator Booker’s histrionics this morning because we had already told him he could use the documents publicly. In fact, we have said yes to every request made by the Senate Democrats to make documents public,” Burck said.
Still, hours after the documents were made public, Booker tweeted that he will continue making already public documents available to the public. CNN suggested in an editorial later in the day that Booker is using the Senate confirmation hearing as his launchpad to run for President, taking a page out of Barack Obama’s book of civil disruption and organizing.
