Officer Uninjured After Car Strikes Cruiser Stopped at Motor Vehicle Crash

HAMILTON TWP-On March 21, 2018 at approximately 7:49pm Officer Hartman was parked on the shoulder of Wrangleboro Road near Tilton Road investigating a motor vehicle crash. A 2007 Mitsubishi, driven by Basir A. Thompson, age 28 of Galloway, was traveling northbound on Wrangleboro Road. Upon approaching Officer Hartman’s location Thompson attempted to yield to Officer Hartman but was unable to stop and slid into the back of Officer Hartman’s patrol vehicle. Officer Hartman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries resulting from the crash. Thompson was not injured as a result of the crash. Both Officer Hartman and Thompson’s vehicles were towed from the scene.
