For the fourth year in a row, New Jersey high school graduation rates have risen, says the N.J. Department of Education. The rate rose to 89.7 percent in 2015 from 88.6 percent in 2014. State Education Commissioner David Hespe praised teachers and school leaders for the climbing rate.
