BRICK POLICE MAKE ARREST IN THEFT OF BREAST PUMPS THANKS TO SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS HELP

On December 31st, Brick PD Detective Daniel Waleski charged Joseph T. Galucci, 34, Nebraska Ave, Jackson, NJ, with the theft of breast pumps from the Burlington Coat Factory. The original incident occurred on December 1st. The breast pumps had an approximate value of $1,000.00.

Due to numerous tips received through social media, the Brick Township Police Department was able to identify and successfully arrest Galucci. Galucci was charged with Shoplifting, and a warrant was issued by the Honorable Judge Robert Lepore at $20,000 with no option to post ten percent.

In addition, Galucci was charged by Barnegat Police Detective Richard Carr with shopliftings that occurred in their jurisdiction. Galucci was transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail. Additional charges are expected upon review of the cases by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.


The Brick Township Police Department would like to thank the numerous citizens that assisted in this case, again highlighting the importance of the police citizen relationship.
