Bobby Hampton scored a shorthanded goal with 4:37 left in the game to break a 1-1 tie and give the Middletown High School North hockey team a 2-1 win over Brick Township on Monday.

Michael Mooney scored with an assist from James Wiater with 7:20 left in the first period to give the Green Dragons an early 1-0 lead. John Dinnocenzo’s power play goal in the second period tied the game at 1-1.

Goalie Jake Lakatos stopped 59 of the 61 shots he faced to take the loss for Brick Township. Anthony Manfredi made 19 saves for the Lions.
