The Brick Township High School boys basketball team held a one-point lead after the first quarter Tuesday but couldn’t hold on as Red Bank Catholic defeated the visiting Green Dragons, 71-57.
Liam Smith scored 20 points for the Caseys, who outscored Brick Township 26-12 in the second quarter. Matt Ansell had 17 points and Ed Hahn added 13 for Red Bank Catholic.
Kenny Buell led all scorers with 24 points for the Green Dragons.
