TRENTON-The New Jersey State PBA’s lobbying arm has spoken and delivered its endorsements for political candidates in this year’s general election statewide.
Robert Nixon, a lobbyist for the State PBA said, “It’s critical that members support State PBA-endorsed candidates if you expect legislative support for your issues in Trenton.”
Nixon, who also serves as a Republican councilman in Jackson Township, announced his union’s endorsements in the September issue of NJ Cops magazine.
In his hometown district 12, he announced the State PBA’s endorsement of Democrat David Lande for Senate over political ally and fellow Republican Samuel Thompson. For assembly, he announced endorsements for Robert Clifton and Ron Dancer.

In Ocean County’s southern District 9, Nixon announced the union’s endorsements for the Republican ticket of Conners, Rumpf and Gove.
“Supporting PBA candidates helps build a safety net to protect and support you in good times and especially in bad times,” he added. “Supporting the State PBA political action creates security and peace of mind, no matter how much it annoys us to deal with it.”
