Lookout Wawa, Royal Farms to Enter Ocean County Market

BRICK-The Brick Township zoning board of adjustment on Wednesday approved the construction of a Royal Farms convenience store and gas station at the former site of the Jersey Paddler.

The business will sit at the intersection of Route 88 and Route 70.

Royal Farms operates five other stores in New Jersey, but is expecting to break into the market with stores in Mount Laurel, Clementon and Voorhees in the near future.

Based out of Maryland the chain operates over 180 locations throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

According to Wikipedia, the chain sells many typical convenience-store items, such as coffee, candy, soft drinks, bagels and donuts, lotto tickets, and other basic groceries. All locations also offer a kitchen serving hot food items such as chicken and western fries, along with sandwiches. Their current slogan is “Real Fresh. Real Fast. Real Green.”

Royal Farms will be in competition with Wawa and QuickChek locations which provide similar services to customers.
