Firefighters contend with light snow, icing at Toms River blaze

Firefighters battled a house fire in the downtown section of Toms River Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The blaze broke out at 8 Park Street at 8:46 a.m., and arriving police and firefighters discovered heavy smoke billowing from the structure, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River Police Department spokesman.
All occupants were outside the structure when authorities arrived, he added.
A spokesman from the Toms River Vol. Fire Co. 1 reported that there were no injuries.
