APP: Raising homes post-Sandy pays off for some

About 2,215 homes in Ocean County have been raised so far following Superstorm Sandy in 2012, while another 4,530 homes are in the progress of doing so. These homes are part of the Homeowner Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation Program. Homeowners who have raised their homes say it was worth the difficulty in paperwork.
