MANCHESTER – Veteran officer Douglas Higgins of the Manchester Township Police Department received the Corporate recognition badge during a Jan. 13 ceremony at the Municipal Complex Civic Center.

Higgins has been a member of the department’s Traffic Safety Section since 2002. He is highly respected in his field and holds numerous professional certifications. Chief Lisa Parker said Higgins long and distinguished career is well deserving of the recognition of honor. “I could not be more proud to see him honored in front of his peers and set the bar for what a Manchester Township Police Corporal should be,” Parker said.

Higgins is only the second Manchester officer to receive the Corporal recognition, following Cpl. Scott Thompson, who received the honor posthumously in 2015.
