Your News

On Christmas Day, Police Officers John Pejoski, Derek Gorski and Brad Reider responded to a residence on North Hope Chapel Road for a disturbance after a 911 hang up was received. The officers made contact with a 31 year old male who was causing a disturbance and when they attempted to investigate further, the male became aggressive and uncooperative with them. Officers attempted to detain the male who then became combative with them and resisted, causing the officers and male to fall to the ground. Police Officer Matt Roth arrived on scene as the male was struggling with the officers and they were able to eventually place him in handcuffs. During the incident, Officer Gorski suffered an injury which required medical attention. The male was processed and charged with obstruction, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer. He was later transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
