The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Presents a Children’s Umbrella Program

April showers bring May flowers! In celebration of spring, the Cancer Support Community (CSC) at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus is offering the Umbrella Program to children affected by cancer.

Through this free program, kids can create a “coping umbrella,” plant flower seeds and share their feelings in the compassionate environment provided by the CSC.

The Umbrella Program will take place on Friday, April 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cancer Support Community, located at 199 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Registration is required by calling the Cancer Support Community at 732-923-6090.

The Cancer Support Community (CSC) offers supportive programs, education, and hope for individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis, no matter where treatment is received. Monthly programs include relaxation and guided imagery, yoga, mindfulness meditation, exercise for strength, support groups and much more.
