A Hawaii Police Department Just Put Out an APB on Girl for Breaking Quarantine Lockdown

MAUI, HAWAII – The Maui police department has put out an all-points-bulletin and are now searching for a 24-year-old woman loose in the neighborhood, violating the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine laws.  According to the APB,  police are requesting your assistance in locating Tara Trunfio.

“Trunfio is wanted for violating the Rules and Orders for failure to quarantine. Trunfio is described as a 24-year-old, Caucasian female, height 5’11”, weight 155 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen in Haiku, and may now be in the Kihei area,” the department said. “Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Maui Police Department Non-Emergency Number at 808-244-6400 or in an Emergency dial 9-1-1. Thank you.”

Residents, although concerned about the possibility of a woman on the loose with COVID-19 slammed the police department for their public notice.  Do you think the public notice was appropriate or overkill?
