Oh , he's the Yankees GM??? No wonder they were able to pull off that deal. That and the Yankees have big stupid swole pockets. They literally field an all-star team.

The Yankees have signed Gerrit Cole to a 9-year, $324 million contract. The deal includes an opt-out clause after 5 years and a no-trade clause. On January 6, the Yankees will trade Giancarlo Stanton, Miguel Andujar, Gary Sanchez and pitching prospects Yoendrys Gomez and Miguel Yajure to the Brewers for Josh Hader and prospect Pablo Abreu. On January 9, the Yankees will trade J.A. Happ, Tommy Kahnle, Stephen Tarpley and prospects Anthony Seigler and Canaan Smith to the Phillies for Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto. On January 14, the Yankees will trade Luis Cessa and prospects Anthony Volpe and Ryder Green to the Rockies for Charlie Blackmon and cash. On January 17, the Yankees will sign Daniel Hudson to a 2-year, $16 million contract.

Cashman should’ve gotten Cole in 2018, it would’ve been a lot cheaper for the Yankees and they could’ve won a Championship in 2019. Cashman finally did it , after few missed opportunities with Justin Verlander, Chris Sales and Max Scherzer etc. Anyway Kudos to Cashman and the Yankees.
