Woman Running From Police Struck by Car

MAPLESHADE-A woman being taken into custody by police officers on Friday night managed to escape their custody and began running from officers and was struck by a passing driver on Route 73.   Danielle Colon, 33, of Camden was arrested by police and managed to free herself from the officer’s patrol car. She was recognized and taken into custody by Maple Shade Police on an outstanding warrant before she escaped.

She was taken to Cooper University Hospital where she was listed in stable condition with a broken leg.
