EDISON-New Jersey online news publisher Lisa McCormick has challenged incumbent Senator Robert Menendez to be the next Democrat to run for Senate in New Jersey.

McCormick came out of the gates swinging, labeling Menendez, “Bribery Bob” for his indictment on bribery charges.

McCormick also published figures that revealed Menendez took over $100,000 in campaign contributions from the Trump family over the years.

“President Donald Trump, his son in law Jared Kushner, and other Trump and Kushner family members contributed more than $100,000 to Senator Robert Menendez,” McCormick said. “Trump has made numerous contributions to politicians with ethics violations.”

McCormick noted Trump’s dialogue about his campaign contributions to politicians such as Menendez.

“Look, politicians are all talk, they’re no action. They don’t do the job, they don’t know what they’re doing. I know them better than anybody, Howie. I deal with all of them. And, you know, I make contributions to many of them,” Trump was quoted as saying. “They’re friends, they’re this. It’s smart. It’s called being an intelligent person and a great business person. … But the truth is that, you have to be able to get along with—if you’re gonna be a business person, even in the United States, you wanna get along with all sides because you’re gonna need things from everybody. And you wanna get along with all sides, it’s very important.”
