A host of elected officials along with students gathered at the Ocean County Library, Toms River, on Oct. 6 as Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato was honored with the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission Award. Ocean County Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari (right) joined with Freeholder Virginia E. Haines in presenting a plaque commemorating the event and recognizing Coronato for his outstanding contributions to the community exemplifying the virtues of his Italian-American heritage shared by the Commission. Also present were state Assemblyman Gregory McGuckin and Toms River Mayor Thomas Kelaher. Robert J. DiBiase, chairman of the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission, presented the Commission award to Coronato, noting his hard work, devotion to social causes and outstanding accomplishments in the field of law.
