Temporary Parking Available – Gille Park has been designated as a temporary parking area for residents of Lacey Township to park vehicles from low-lying areas during the period of potential flooding due to the impending storm activity. Vehicles may be legally parked within a parking stall and must be removed in a timely manner following the storm. Vehicles which are left in the park during the storm are done so at the owner’s own risk. The ability to access and remove the vehicles immediately following the storm may be greatly hindered by excessive snow accumulations; therefore, an extension to the period the vehicles may remain in the park will be extended and announced as reasonably necessary.

Regardless of whether in low-lying areas or elsewhere in Lacey Township, ALL vehicles and objects (e.g., portable basketball hoops) must be removed from the roadway during any degree of snowfall. If the storm includes significant snow accumulations, tow trucks will be on standby to quickly remove unattended vehicles so that the plow operators can work to clear the roadways without unnecessary obstructions.  – Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D.
